Art Talk & Sharing by UK Artist Harminder Judge

Harminder will talk about the development of his art practice, in particular the performance installation entitled The Modes of Al-Ikseer. This piece explores an ancient Hindu myth concerning the creation of Amrit, the holy nectar of life, merged and collided with 80’s electro pop music and Depeche Mode’s song Personal Jesus. Harminder will also speak about the organisation and creation of the artist-led space Grand Union.

* Harminder Judge an artist currently based in Birmingham, UK. He is also the co-founder of Grand Union, a studio group and project space which opened in Eastside, Birmingham in March 2010.
* Awarded an IFICAN 6 week research residency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to focus on inter-faith connectivity and contemporary KL culture, dates TBA.
